Martell BE CURIOUS : A Small Universe in the Field of Meaning

BE CURIOUS : A Small Universe in the Field of Meaning is Martell's latest art collaboration with Edwin's Gallery. Curated by Danuh Tyas, the exhibition showcased 14 young Indonesian artists chosen from various regions including Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Bali.

"We choose the showcased artists based on their age and their differences in material used in their artworks. Most of them are still young and emerging hot. The art is conveyed through not only paintings, but also statues and installations," explained Danuh Tyas at Edwin's Gallery, Kemang, South Jakarta on Thursday (1/3/2018).

Emte himself showcased a series titled "The Struggle is Real", consisting two paintings of distorted everyday situations blotted with vibrant and fluid colorways.

Other participating artists are: Abenk Alter, Anton Subiyanti, Hendra 'Blankon' Priyandhani, I Putu Adi Suanjaya 'Kencut', Michael Binuko, Ngakan Putu Agus Arta Wijaya, Nurrachmat Widyasena, Radhinal Indra, Rocka Radipa, Rudy Atjech, Sekarputri Sidhiawati, Walid Syarthowi, dan Yosefa Aulia. The exhibition is open on March 1-11, 2018.
